Boekd is a service that allows business owners to create a digital profile linked to a unique QR code. When scanned, the QR code opens a page displaying the business's contact details and allowing clients to add a pre-filled appointment to their calendar. Boekd is operated by Boekd, a business registered in the Netherlands ("Boekd," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Boekd service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@getaqard.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
Each account is for your personal or business use only. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their knowledge.
Boekd provides you with a hosted profile page linked to a unique, permanent QR code. The QR code URL points to your profile and will continue to work as long as your account is active and in good standing. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service but will use reasonable efforts to maintain uptime.
When a client scans your QR code and adds a calendar event, Boekd facilitates the generation of that event. We are not responsible for errors in event details entered by the client, nor for the behaviour of third-party calendar applications (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, etc.) after the event is saved.
Access to the full Boekd service requires a paid subscription. Subscription pricing, billing frequency, and payment methods are described on the pricing page. All prices are shown excluding VAT; applicable VAT will be added at checkout based on your location.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You retain ownership of all content you submit to Boekd — your business name, address, contact details, and other profile information. By submitting this content, you grant Boekd a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the service (for example, displaying it on your public scan page and including it in calendar events).
You are responsible for ensuring that the content you submit is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party. You must not submit content that is false, misleading, harmful, or in violation of applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The Boekd name, logo, website design, and software are owned by Boekd and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our brand, trademarks, or code beyond what is necessary to use the service.
Boekd™ is a trademark of Boekd, with a trademark application pending in the Benelux (filed with the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property, BOIP). Unauthorised use of the Boekd name or logo is prohibited.
QR codes generated by Boekd include Boekd branding. You may download and use your QR code on your own printed materials, provided the Boekd branding remains intact and unmodified.
You may delete your account at any time from your account dashboard. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid subscription fees for the unused period.
The Boekd service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities. We are not responsible for the behaviour of third-party calendar applications, email providers, or any other external service that interacts with Boekd.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have as a consumer under mandatory EU or Dutch consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Boekd's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service is limited to the total amount you paid to Boekd in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business opportunities arising from your use of the service. This limitation does not apply in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence on our part, or to any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Dutch or EU law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also benefit from any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by contract.
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@getaqard.com so we can attempt to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, it may be submitted to the competent Dutch courts or, for consumer disputes, to the court of your place of residence within the EU.
EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not accept the updated terms, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.
